We had a previous toilet lid which snapped at the connector pieces. Took a chance on this replacement lid and was happy that it wasn’t plastic. What surprised me was how easy it was to install! When I took it out of the box, I kept trying to figure out how to unsnap the covers that you close once you screw the bolt in place. Ha! I realized these don’t snap, but they slide slightly to open and close. I love this! So, you install the bolt into the washer piece, and then put the pieces over the bolt… just slide the cover closed! Super tight… I did not use a screwdriver to tighten btw… it says to, but I was able to hand tighten and put the lid on. It’s very secure and feels good quality. Please note, this is not a slow lower seat. I didn’t want the slow lower… this seat was perfect for my guest bath.

Llegó exactamente en la fecha estimada. Aún cuando venía desde Amazon Estados Unidos, llegó en excelentes condiciones, sin ningún daño. El asiento es fuerte, se nota la calidad del producto.
Para los que tuvieron problemas con la rosca, no es necesario romper su pestaña o sujetador, lo único que tienen que hacer es enroscar hasta donde puedan y una vez que tope con la taza del baño, van a sujetar la rosca, y tomar un desarmador, y con ese desarmador, van a girar los tornillos de plástico. La rosca la van sujetar para que no se mueva, y solo van a mover o girar el tornillo con el desarmador. Yo le hice así, y sin ningún problema quedó instalado, y sin romper ninguna pieza.
En Estados Unidos es muy común este tipo de asientos de madera, pero que lucen como los de plástico, pero que no se sienten fríos como uno de plástico.
Yo una vez compré en México uno similar, pero después ya no pude encontrar, hasta que finalmente pude encontrarlo aquí en Amazon y a muy buen precio.
Muy recomendable. Solo espero nos dure como el anterior que teníamos.

Before I got this one, I had a fancy wooden toilet seat, with metal hinges. That one was sliding on and off the toilet bowl. Ugh. This was the best $13 ever spent on a toilet. Perfect color. Perfect price.
Super easy to install, it look less than 10 minutes overall. Super easy to clean. Well, just like any other toilet seat.
It’s not sliding when you plant your behind on it.
The only thing, when the lid falls and you don’t hold it, it’ll wake the whole house up.
Overall, I’m totally satisfied with the purchase.

This is a great product. I like the look and how easy it is to install. Change out the screws to hold it in place and then it just clips on. It doesn’t come loose like many others.

Purchased this as existing one was splashed with cleaner. Thought it would be a case of one off one on, no such luck. Really disappointed that no instructions are included. Will probably have to return.

So our upstairs toilet has been wiggling for years but I never got around to getting a new one. At the time I wasn’t the one purchasing those items for the house, and honestly I really don’t know the first thing about toilet anatomy. I didn’t even realize the seat was a separate entity separate from the bowl, and I certainly didn’t realize it was only a matter of unscrewing one off and screwing another on. Had I known, that seat would’ve been replaced years ago !!
Then last week I had enough of the wiggly seat and actually stuck my head under there to see what was going on. I am actually a pretty handy person but a toilet is something I have never had the pleasure of working on. Much to my shock and awe, the seat was just attached by 2 plastic screws.. and in my case, one of the screws was MIA so that certainly explained a lot. So I come on here and look for “toilet seat screws” and they were 6.99. Looking down the page I saw an add for a toilet seat for like $18, which surprised me bc I didn’t realize they were not expensive at all. At that point a decided to just get a whole new seat because ours had an unsightly area were the plastic was stained with something that wouldn’t come off. So that took me here.. this is “enameled wood” and I have no idea what that means in the world of toilet seats (other than wood that has been enameled), but it sounded like something I would like more than plain plastic. Maybe i’m wrong maybe plastic lasts longer I don’t know. Anyway this was about the same price but I liked this one the most after looking around some more. I would have paid a little more for something that I really liked, but this was good. I don’t know how there can be such price differences in seats that look the same. Some of the listings are $80 for the same material and exact same shape seat. Usually in life, you get what you pay for, so we’ll see.
Installation was super easy. The only part that threw me off was that you have to put the screws on the toilet itself first and then pop this on top and twist into lock direction (left). I tried to put these into the seat and into the toilet (like the one I just removed), but I realized I was wrong when the lid would not open all the way bc the screws were too high in the back. Then I had to break out the instructions and see where I went wrong and saw the screws go in the toilet first then the seat fits on top of the screws. Still very easy- so all good. I didn’t even realize how cheap and flimsy our old seat was until getting this. It has some weight to it, which I personally like. And it feels good to sit on. Lol pretty proud of myself fixing all by myself 🤣
When I was checking out I saw they had one that was still new but not in original packaging.. but when it got here it was as new as it gets, and the bag of screws was still sealed. So I paid $14 for this which is a great buy considering it appears to be a solid, clean looking toilet seat but I’ll update if that changes.

Website did not advise on fixing centres – clearly this American product is for the home market of the USA. Screws at wrong centres for UK toilets. Will not be returning as the postage back to USA is cost prohibitive. Very poor information on your website – product itself appeared very sound and fit for purpose. BUYER BEWARE!
