The first night I slept on this pillow I could not get over how it made my face feel cold. Amazing!! The memory foam is very well made. Does not squish flat like some, instead responds to the weight of your head and still has a good deal of support. This is my first experience with a gel memory foam pillow and for the first time in years, I have not woken up in more pain than when I went to bed. For myself, I do think it needs to be a little bit thicker to take up the gap between the head and bed as I am a side sleeper. It is very comfortable to lay on my back with it as well. Again, the support is amazing, not too hard, not too soft. I did put a fleece pillowcase on it and do not feel the cold feeling on my face anymore, so I would recommend a thinner cover if you desire to feel the coolness. Would def recommend to others who have tried many pillows with back and neck problems in the past with no results. This pillow has helped my neck a great deal and I now have better nights of sleep.

I was so on the fence about buying this pillow because the reviews seem so mixed.

First of all, I think a lot of the reviews are due to user error. This pillow is supposed to expand for 24-48 hours before use. I waited the full 48 hours and it was great. When I checked on it at the 24 hour mark, it was definitely firmer than the 48 hour mark. I know it’s hard not to use the pillow you’ve just bought because it’s exciting! But really, it’s for the best to follow the instructions and let it expand for the full amount of time.

Secondly, I see a lot of complaints that it’s “not cooling”. News flash! No pillow can stay cold *all the time*! That technology does not exist and is currently impossible! It has holes for ventilation, your body gives off heat that transfers to the pillow.

Thirdly, the pillow does vary in firmness based on temperature. If it’s warm it’s gonna be a bit softer, if it’s cold it’s gonna be a bit firmer.

The reviews are very mixed with people saying “my head sinks down all the way, there’s nothing to it!” and “It’s so firm like a brick! My head doesn’t sink at all!” this confused the crap out of me before buying. I think all of the above factors are the reason for variation in the reviews.

I’ll try to give my most unbiased perspective on it. It is firm, I would not call it a brick though. My head sinks about halfway into it. It provides support, but isn’t stiff. It’s not super soft, it does take a minute to sink into. It holds your head in place. I am a side and stomach sleeper and I find it comfortable. I cannot speak for back sleepers. It is very lightweight, but thick, wide, and takes up a decent amount of space. The cover is soft, but you should still put a pillowcase over it. If you don’t like a pillow on the firmer side, you probably won’t like this pillow. If you’re looking for something super soft and squishy, this pillow is not for you. If you are looking for a firm memory foam pillow that keeps you in place, has good neck support, and keeps it’s shape. This pillow is for you.

Overall, I like it! I’ve been sleeping on it for a couple weeks and I think it has helped my neck a bit. I’ve been sleeping very soundly and I have no issues. It’s a great price for the quality if it’s what you’re looking for, go for it!

This pillow arrived quickly and is very nice, but entirely too firm for me. I love the memory foam pillows and bought this one because it was supposed to be cooling. I slept on it for two nights and it was not comfortable on my neck. (I switched back to my older pillow) However, it might work well for someone else.

Seems ok and let sit for 48hrs before first use.
I sleep on my side, back and belly and it was very comfy. Head sinks down in a minute or so and settles down nicely. I would recommend it and yes it starts out cool but doesn’t stay cold, no pillow stays cold. I’ve looked forever. I do recommend it and the price was good. We purchased 2 as it was cheaper than buying a set of 2???

I really struggle with pillows and mattresses. Want a very firm mattress and a pillow that keeps support, doesn’t collapse overnight and is comfortable. I let it sit for approximately 30 hours in a warm room. On a 1-4 scale with 1 being mildly firm I would say this is 3 which is perfect for me. No cooling effects at all but I have yet to find a pillow that does this. Hope it holds up a year or longer, but out of the last 10 pillows I’ve bought this is the best.
