These perform as stated. Theses solar lights have the perfect amount of light without any unwanted flicker. The quality is good, they are stable and don’t fall over or break easily when placed in the yard. Battery life seems good. I’ve had them up for 2 months so far and haven’t had to change the batteries yet.

One light out the box stopped working. Now after about a week out in the yard looks like another is already starting to not work. Good price I thought, product not so good. After taking the top off, I replaced the adapter battery and fixed the negative wire, which somehow was stripped not all the way cut (possibly pinched when assembled). The light is now working. Getting products without instructions is kinda hard.

Nice lights but only half of them work…besides being exposed to full sun all day. **Update** 7/30/24..:The company did reach out to me after reading my review and offered to replace or refund my purchase. That I truly appreciate, so that way I at least did not feel that my entire purchase experience with them was a
total waste…A very stand up company that stands behind their merchandise.

These lights arrived after a fairly lengthy delay that was long enough i was convinced they were lost in transit. Obviously not a knock against the product themselves but something to keep in mind as these are not shipped locally and the estimates are not always accurate.

As for the lights themselves, they are made of fairly standard materials, not much different from those you will find in big box stores. But you pay maybe only half of what the big box stores charge and the Japanese lantern design is unique and just what I wanted for my garden. Based on the fairly pedestrian solar panel design, I expect these will last 2-3 years but that can be extended if you are willing to replace the rechargeable batteries and keep the solar panels clean.

The lights are simple to assemble and performs basically the same as any solar garden lights you’ve seen before. The amount of time they spent charging in the sun is roughly equal to how long they stay lit (e.g. 4 hours in the sun = about 4 hours of light). The lights are fairly dim and won’t really light up the space around them, but instead functions as nice accent lights that adds atmosphere to your evening garden before the true dark night sets in.

Overall it’s what I expected for a great price.

Update: after leaving them out in the yard for the past year or so, including over the dark and wet winter months, 10 out of the 12 lights no longer work. So I collected them all, opened them up, and found all of the components to be in good shape under the cover – clean with no signs of water damage and the batteries had no leakage or corrosion either (see photo). The culprit turned out to be oxidation on the copper positive terminals which is understandable considering these are exposed to constant moisture outside. I took a sandpaper to each for a bit and everything’s working just fine again. Applied a tiny bit of WD40 and hopefully it’ll protect against future oxidation a bit better. Not going to take off any stars for this because it’s honestly to be expected and the fact that the components (aside from the oxidated terminal) and the batteries themselves showed very little sign of wear means these will likely last for some years yet.

Wasn’t expecting much out of these cheap solar lights, but was shocked that they looked great and cast a little glow of light that wasn’t blinding. They are great for by the pool and are good for mood lighting. Don’t expect them the be bright, but they are right for ambiance. The lights are a little flimsy when putting in the ground, but use care if you have rocky soil.
