5 reviews for CHITA Power Recliner Chair Swivel Glider, FSC Certified Upholstered Living Room Nursery Reclining Sofa Chair with Lumbar Support, Linen

Overall, this is a very nice chair with all the right features. Great price, stunning, swivels, reclines, perfect size, to name a few. Was disappointed when we noticed what appeared to be a small rip or stain on the fabric-right in the front of the chair. Upon closer inspection, it seems that the discoloration is from dark fabric fibers. It’s like they used dark grey fibers in that spot. Guess we can’t do much to remedy that. Still, very pleased with our purchase.

I wanted a powered recliner that was also a glider/rocker, fit well into my small space, and had a contemporary look – this Chita chair is the most comfortable – and best-looking – recliner I’ve ever seen or used!

I’m 5’5” tall and heavy, and I experience a lot of joint pain and stiffness throughout my entire body (arthritis/fibro/injuries). This chair’s foam has just the right balance of support and “give” for me, and the fixed lumbar cushion is the perfect size and location to ease my lower back pain.

All that said, I’m most pleased with the upholstery. I have decades of experience in architecture, interior design, and furniture design, and I’m quite sure that this is a high-quality vinyl upholstery that will last for years and years. I look forward to the days when more environmentally-friendly fabrics will offer this level of wear… but for now, my choices are governed by durability, look/feel, and price point. The stitching and finishing are beautiful.

I found the chair to be SUPERBLY packaged and protected (it took me quite a while to cut/break down all the layers of cardboard!) – I haven’t found any damage whatsoever.

The chair is heavy, but I did manage to shove the box up my lobby stairs and into my apartment, and I unboxed and assembled it by myself (it took about 30 minutes to unbox). There was no way I could totally lift the piece without help.

Assembly was a piece of cake – you just make sure to properly align the metal parts, and be sure to SHOVE DOWN on the back until it clicks into the base. Make sure everything is aligned and doesn’t look crooked at the seat and back). I can imagine that failing to do this last step may be why some customers had problems with metal parts breaking.

It’s a good thing that assembly is simple, because I couldn’t find ANY instructions until the next day when I started breaking down the cartons. Taping the instructions to the chair’s bubble wrap would be a great idea, Chita!

I’m thrilled with this chair, and would happily order another if I had room!

I can’t speak to the longevity of this chair as we just received it, but so far it has been a lifesaver. I ordered it a week before it was delivered on a night when I almost had to spend the night in our comfy, but non-reclining rocking chair in my 8 month old’s room because she was on night two of being sick and congested, and she cried every 5 minutes in her crib because she couldn’t breathe through her nose, and would only fall asleep while being held. Unfortunately, in the week it took to be delivered, she got better….and then sick again. Hooray for daycare. This time, however, we have this chair. I spent the beginning of the night in it with her, and am now back in it at 4am. It is comfy. It is quiet. It rocks well when in the upright position. I need a pillow behind my head when it reclines, but that’s my preference. It smells like a new piece of upholstered furniture, but I know that dissipates in a day or two. The recline is super smooth. The USB port on the side is key. I remember going back and forth about what rocker to get when I was building my baby registry, and decided on a plain, upholstered rocking chair, which has been fine until this point….if anyone reading this is on the edge about what to get for your nursery – go with this. A little more expensive, but will save you in a situation like this!! And the baby’s room still looks cute with it. For reference, I’m 39, 5’7, midsized and pregnant. I get uncomfortable very easily these days. My 6’2 husband also found the chair comfy. He is also sick or else he’d be on this morning shift… We both like that the seat is very deep, and it doesn’t take up any more room than our old rocker with a footrest did. Was it delivered directly in front of my garage instead of 5 feet to the left on the sidewalk so that I had to move it into the garage on my own before I could park the car? Yes. But that’s not the chair’s fault, that’s on FedEx. I saw you on the doorbell cam, buddy… Was it a pain for me and my husband to lug upstairs? Yes but it was doable. Furniture straps helped. It being in two pieces doesn’t really matter because the back is super light, all of the weight is in the base. But we did it without waking the baby up so whatever. Buy it. It’s comfy. The baby is asleep, and I could be too if it wasn’t for pregnancy insomnia 🙃

As a minimalist mom, I didn’t think a nursing chair was necessary. Boy I was wrong!!! So after tons of research I found this one and…it’s been amazing. It’s very well made, extremely confortable and not too big. The color is just was pictured, it rotates, reclines and does the rocking motion all very well. The added usb port is the cherry on top. Just wished it had the control buttons on both sides.

I watched this chair for months and finally bought two of them and I am so glad I did. Very comfortable. Easy assemble. Smooth electrical movements. Great color. Don’t hesitate to buy!
