We used this for one small bathroom window and it was so awesome looking that we used it on a few other windows since they don’t have views anyway and we could get rid of the blinds that just stayed closed all the time and collected dust. It lets in so much light but is 100% private. At first when I looked in the photos I thought that maybe you could look through the lines between the “bricks” but you cannot.

Easy to install, but that said, we did go spend $10 at a hardware store to buy a kit for installing these on the windows to ensure they looked perfect, so I will not know how much of an install impact that kit made on our experience.

Due to being unable to afford the purchase price of a house in this economy, we have been renting a single-wide trailer that was built in 1973. It has terrible insulation, and we live in hot Arizona. All we have for cooling down is a swamp cooler (evaporative cooler), which does not work very well when the humidity is high (as it is during most of the monsoon season). So I was looking for ways to maximize the cooling effects and decided to try this stuff.

Well, we are incredibly impressed with how well it works! Indoor temperature easily dropped 2°-4° in west and north facing rooms, maybe more. It is so noticeable at the kitchen sink windows that it seems overcast all the time instead of formerly being an absolutely miserable place to be this time of year between the heat radiating from that window and the glare. I love that we can still see out, but what I love MORE is that my nosy neighbor can no longer see IN during the daytime. I love that I can open the blinds and see my yard instead of feeling like a mushroom hiding in the dark the whole summer lol. It’s very easy to install – after the first “strip” I had the hang of it. The worst part is just cutting it, but it’s totally doable. I don’t know why we didn’t think to do it years ago! Best purchase we have made in recent memory!

After searching for an effective and hassle-free solution to add privacy for my glass back and front door, I stumbled upon the Coavas Window Privacy Film, and I’m delighted with the results.

First and foremost, the non-adhesive design of this film is a game-changer. It eliminates the need for messy adhesives and makes installation a breeze. Simply apply water to the window surface, peel off the backing, and smooth out any air bubbles for a flawless finish. It’s easy enough for anyone to do, even those with limited DIY experience.

The privacy provided by this film is impressive. It obscures the view from outside while still allowing natural light to filter through, creating a bright and airy atmosphere inside. Whether it’s for a bathroom, bedroom, or office space, this film offers the perfect balance of privacy and light transmission.

One of the standout features of the Coavas Window Privacy Film is its versatility. It’s available in a variety of sizes and designs to suit different window shapes and preferences. Whether you prefer a frosted look or a decorative pattern, there’s an option to match your aesthetic.

Durability is another plus point. The film is made of high-quality vinyl material that’s resistant to wrinkles, tears, and fading. It’s also easy to clean with just a damp cloth, making maintenance a breeze.

Overall, I highly recommend the Coavas Window Privacy Film to anyone in need of a simple and effective way to add privacy to their windows. Its non-adhesive design, easy installation, and impressive performance make it a standout choice for enhancing the privacy and comfort of any space.

Great product, fairly easy to use but can become a bit fiddly to get the backing plastic off. I’ve used it in the front room with about 1cm left of the window framing the frosted area (so we can still kind of see what’s going on LOL) and the only thing that would make it even better would be to have a white backing paper with straight lines every 0.5cm (a bit like the sticky plastic for schoolbooks) so lines would be very easily cut straight. But with the nice geometric pattern even the wobbly lines are barely noticeable. I would definitely recommend this!

I was a bit skeptical about these when I read some of the reviews that said this was hard to apply, but I figured for $10 bucks a pop, I would give it a try. The quality of this vinyl is very good. The vinyl is much thicker than I expected, and the pattern is actually textured onto the vinyl. I have two large windows on my back doors, and I have had a neighbor snooping around behind my house, so it was time do to something. This was easier to install and more affordable than blinds or curtains. I followed the directions carefully, which included removing the protective plastic sheet from the inside of the film, cleaning the window very well beforehand, and using water spray on both the vinyl and the window before applying. This process was very easy, but do it when you have time to be patient.

    My tips for installation.
    * I had also purchased a special felt squeegee kit (HTVRONT brand) for about $9 with sprayer bottle and exacto knives to help with the installation, and that made it much easier–worth the money to get that. I know some others have mentioned using a credit card as a squeegee, but I think it would be more difficult considering the textured pattern on the vinyl.

*Measure the window to determine the size you need and then cut the vinyl before removing the protective film. My only complaint about this product is that there are no gridlines on the back to facilitate straight line cutting.

*If the vinyl isn’t where you want it to be, you can reposition if you have used a lot of water, and if not, remove it, add more water, and reapply.

*Use a lot of water spray on the window and on the decal. If you have a decent squeegee, and I found this worked great with a felt squeegee, you will remove all the excess water. Once the vinyl was positioned where I wanted it on the glass, I spent a lot of time squeegeeing from the center of the vinyl to the outside, and then I would use a towel to wipe away the water that came out from the sides. In this way, I was able to remove ALL bubbles under the vinyl. It takes a bit of time but it totally worth it.

*Before you finish squeegeeing, try looking at the vinyl in different lights and angles so you can find any bubbles you didn’t see initially. Then squeegee them out.

From start to finish, including measuring and cutting, it took me about 45 minutes to install these on the two windows. Several days later, even with crazy temperature variations outside, it is stuck fast with no peeling or bubbling and looks fantastic.

What I like the most about this privacy solution is that if I change my mind about having that window covered at another time, I could easily remove the film.

    Highly recommended.

Quizá no leí bien pero el material absorbe todo el calor del sol, no detiene la temperatura en un cuarto de 3×3 al contrario se siente más el calor. Es un muy buen producto solo no fue para mí.

Easy to work with, looks like advertised and provided privacy while still allowing the light to filter thru which was what we wanted…

  9. Cali C.

Love it! Forgiving material and easy to apply. The first window was harder because I didn’t really know what I was doing. Second and third were much easier to apply. Darkens the right amount, love the look from outside.

installed easily had some issues with adhesion…not sure if my fault or not?
