I purchased the GroTheory 2 Door Draft Stopper, hoping to improve insulation around my home by sealing the gaps under both my interior and exterior doors. The product boasts an easy installation process and promises to prevent drafts, which initially seemed perfect for my needs.
The installation of the draft stoppers was indeed straightforward. The materials felt durable, and the adhesive backing attached easily and firmly to the doors. Visually, the draft stoppers are unobtrusive and blend well with the door, maintaining a clean and tidy appearance, which I appreciated.
However, I encountered a significant issue when trying to use one of the draft stoppers on my storm door. The product did not perform as well in this setting. The thickness and rigidity of the draft stopper, which initially seemed like a mark of durability, made it difficult for the storm door to close properly. It seemed too bulky and not flexible enough to accommodate the slight imperfections and the required movement of the storm door, leading to gaps that still allowed drafts to pass through.
While the draft stopper worked adequately on a regular interior door, blocking out drafts and helping to control the internal temperature, it failed to adapt to the specific challenges posed by the storm door. This was a disappointment, as it limited the product’s usefulness in my home where addressing exterior drafts is crucial.
Overall, the GroTheory 2 Door Draft Stopper serves its purpose for standard interior doors but falls short in more demanding applications like storm doors. If you’re considering this product, it’s essential to assess the type of doors you have and consider the flexibility and adaptability of the draft stopper to different door movements and surfaces.
For its effectiveness on standard doors, I give it three stars. It offers a good solution for interior doors but may not be the best choice for every door in your home, particularly where a more flexible or less bulky solution is needed.

I really liked the simple design of this product. I bought 2 sets and one of the sets was missing the 2 adhesive promoters it was supposed to come with. Very disappointed.

It’s very flexible and easy to install, looks very good on my door, sorry I have not taken a picture. You can easily trim to door size.

It does a good job keeping rain water and bugs out. Im glad it come in a 2 pack, I installed the first one too low, causing it to be very difficult to close the door. It trims easily, but beware if the door is painted, removing the draft stopper will mes up the paint job, overall I recommend this. The adhesive is very strong, just follow the given instructions 🙂
