bought back in Jan 2020 (it is now Aug 2024) and while the suction still holds up great, the mirror itself needs to be replaced. There is a haze that i’m not able to clean or polish or buff out. But for less than 20 bucks, this thing was great! buying a new one soon

It was a bit hard to get the base lined up but that may just be a one off. Took a bit, but got it together (my hands have some arthritis).
Went on the wall fine. The construction of it is very cheaply made though so I don’t have a lot of faith in its longevity. So far it hasn’t fogged up and clarity is good for now, it hasn’t fallen off, so adhesion seems good. I’ll update later on in the event that changes. I gave it a 3 because of its construction . The size is decent and does the job, the appearance is fine.

No fogging mirror. Suction is very good if put on flat tiles. My tile doesn’t have a perfectly flat surface therefore suction is not as good but still good enough. It felt off once after 3-4 months but didn’t break. If you feel that the tile surface is compromised re-apply the suction from time to time, to prevent falling.

Suction – Fell off once after initial install. Initial install included cleaning thoroughly where it suctioned. After initially falling off after a couple of weeks inside my shower with daily use, it has never fallen again after several months additional use.

Fog Free – Being located inside my shower makes it nearly impossible to keep fog free for a non-self heating mirror. To my surprise, the first few showers their coating held up, but afterwards it was back where all the others ended up. Valiant effort none the less. None of my others ever held up once. Easy to remedy though for the initiated. Simply splash hot water over the mirror a few times. No soap. It’ll clear long enough to shave. Splash additional if fogging back up too quickly.

Distance from wall – Turns out not an issue where I have it placed. Corner back wall away from the shower head. Normally I place them on the side of the wall or on/near the shower head. That’s a mistake. Move it further away. Easier to use and keep clean. Avoid trying to get soap on it and the coating seems to keep a mirror finish when it dries.

Zoom Effect – Got used to not being as zoomed in as other mirrors. Not an issue overall.

Possible Issue – if dropped onto a hard surface like tile, it might crack or break. It seems like hard plastic of that type.

Knocked off a star for how far it sits away from the wall. Could have been much nicer to not have it stick out almost 4 inches.

Also took off the star due to the mirror showing the image as if I were further away. Not sure what that’s about. Most shaving mirrors are designed to enlarge the image.

The good news is it was easy to install. No issues so far with suction and the locking mechanism.

Will try it for a while and update good or bad overall.

This is a godsend. Especially because it can swivel in any direction. As advertised (so far, after only a week) there is no fogging. However, READ the instructions. You do NOT want to wipe this down as you’ll remove the special coating. Although I don’t use the razor holder (leaving blades in the bathroom builds up the mold and traces of microbials between multi-blades…germ-attractor), it’s a sweet touch for convenience.

I tried several times to attach to clean tiles. It doesn’t secure well. Thank goodness they supply separate stick-on circles. Use them, it’s worth not having the mirror crash down onto your bathroom floow.
