I’ve been buying can opener after can opener,
hoping to find one that doesn’t hurt your hands and opens
all cans. Most are junk., awful!
Until now, the openers have been choosy, working on some cans
and not others. They rust and break after a month.
This KitchenAid opener, opens all cans , smoothly cutting as you turn.
There’s no finger or hand pain, because of the metal bearings.
It rotates and cuts with ease.

Bought this to put in a “Welcome to Your New Home” gift basket for a friend. I have the exact same can opener, and while my electric one gets a lot of use, this is a handy back-up opener and has gone on many camping trips over the years. Durable and easy to use.

Bought this and another and tested side by side along with one I owned. This one was sharpest meaning it was easier to cut the top of cans than other new one and one I want to replace. It’s easier to squeeze down wheel into the can lid and also easier to turn handle cutting through the lid than others.
There is one drawback and that is it binds halfway through lid meaning its gleaming along cutting into metal when it will lift off the top and fall off. I thought first that it was crumpling on the paper label but nope, does also for bare cans. Its like it gives up and falls off. If I back off and first inkling, it will proceed forward with no problem. Very strange. Does it for small and also large cans. The current old one I want to replace does not do this.

This has been a staple in my kitchen drawer for years. I bought this one as a gift. No plugging into a wall, no awkward fastening, no noise, no fooling around. Pop onto that can top, latch it, start turning, simply won and done! Easy to clean, too! I have used this on all types of canned goods large and small with great results. Cuts around evenly and never disappoints. The price is perfect, operates safely, durable, and rests in a drawer.

It’s a can opener. But it opens cans very well. The large grips are easy to hold, and the wide “key” makes it easy to turn the cutting wheel. Doesn’t dig into your hands the way I’ve had some cheaper can openers do. This one is very comfortable to use. Would recommend!

Why is it so difficult to find a decent can opener? I went through 2 awful, cheap feeling ones before settling on this. This feels substantial, sharp to puncture and glides open the can lids effortlessly. Love the variety of color options and price is well worth it. Reminds me of the quality ones my mom and grandparents used to have.

I bought this can opener for 2 reasons. One was the Kitchenaid brand name. The other was based on the picture and description, both of which were very accurate. This is a very sturdy device that looks like it will function well for years to come. The fact that it has a large handle to turn is also a plus. We are seniors and our hand dexterity and strength isn’t what it once was. With this can opener, it makes things very easy for us.
