Bought this for the back of our house to show our horse pasture when we were on vacation. Our barn is 350ish feet from the house and we can see the entirety of the 1.5 acre pasture with this camera. The resolution is good enough at that distance to see what’s going on, but isn’t quite “HD”, which is fine. The night vision even at 150-200′ is enough to see that the horses were doing ok. The motion sensor is VERY sensitive, and the alerts can get annoying if you have them set while working/walking in the area. We have them turned off unless we are going to be gone for an extended amount of time. The spotlight is surprisingly bright for being so small. Happy with the purchase.

I have 11 different ring cameras on the inside an outside of my home 3 on solar panels 1 ring 4 doorbell, my ,1dt camera was this floodlight camera which I purchased approximately 19yrs ago or so, I finally needed to replace it due to the led would continuously intermittently flash about every second not actually coming on video still worked great it has always been under a covered awning somewhat out of the weather an new Mexico blazing summer sun, guess it was at it’s life expectancy about $50.00 more now but well worth the cost an I received it 1 day shipping now installed easy as pie setup an connection to my wifi an chime pro, all ring cameras reliable an excellent operation yup this is an excellent camera an led lite system couldn’t be more pleased even my Alexa love it , yup buy this one an be happy like me

This Ring product is an amazing value for what it’s capable of. It’s motion avtivated, video quality is excellent, and it even allows you to talk to the intruder or automatically warns them that they are being videotaped. The lights are extremely powerful and literally light up the place up like Fort Knoxx. It even activates a very loud siren if you choose that option as an additional deterrent. It is very user friendly and easy to set up. If intruders were to come close to it and knock it down with a stick, it will still record them long before they get close to it and identify them as an object or a person that can be used with the police department to make an arrest. You can also choose that it notifies the police department upon anything that activates it. This is a good feature for when you go away for the weekend.
Video playback can be adjusted to zoom in to a particular area or show a very wide angle of coverage. The 240° field of view covers a very large area. I would suggest mounting it in an area that covers the rear and sides of your home (including the garage) where most intruders enter. It can even be mounted to a tree to give you a better angle of all corners of your home if you have power at that location and it is within Wi-Fi distance of your residence. If not, two cameras can be installed and operate in tandom. Overall, it’s an incredible value and I plan on buying additional accessories to complete my security system at home and Business. It even has a community feature without disclosing your name that allows you to alert and receive notifications of your neighbors devices. This morning I got a notification that there was an intruder checking out cars in driveways in the immediate area. It has three settings that allow you to disarm it completely during the day and can be easily switched to home or away via your cell phone app for when you forget to arm it or you’re inside the home at night time. You can arm it remotely when you are away if you forget to arm it at home. If you have an “indoor camera” in your home you can disarm the motion activation feature so it doesn’t pick up every movement when you walk around the house at night while the rest of your system remains on. When you’re away, the indoor camera/speaker function also gives you the ability to check on your pets and even talk to them through the speaker intercom built into the unit. Obviously, I can’t say enough about how satisfied I am with this purchase. For the money, I highly recommend this product.
