about a year ago, I ordered two of these lights and I thought that they were perfect! So much so that I ordered them again. The second batch are not like the first batch.

First, this bit in the description – “3 adjustable heads design can move upwards, downwards and horizontally. ” WAS accurate a year ago, but is not longer accurate. The heads no longer swivel, they move only back and forth, similar to a door hinge. My original set – the little side lights moved on a swivel so you could aim them exactly where you wanted them to go.

Second – the motion sensor is different – it turns on, then after a moment, it turns off. But then there is a delay before you can get it to turn back on. The original set – if I were standing in the yard when the light went off, all I had to do was to raise my arm and bang, it would turn back on. The new set – I’m standing there, windmilling my arms waiting for the delay to finish so that I can turn the lights back on. Most frustrating.

On the plus side, they do work, they are very bright, and installation is a breeze – just screw the bracket onto something. They work, just not as well as my original set. That delay between the motion activations is the worst. The lack of swivel is a minor detail, but that delay is the deal breaker, for me.

I am impressed with how easy it was to install the lights and then by how much light they provide at night. I wanted light for areas at night where my dogs go outside because it is out of range from the porch lights. These work perfect and I love they are solar.

Excellent range of lighting from them at a great price as well

This light has been a fantastic addition to my home for the past 3 months. They provide bright illumination, making them perfect for those late-night dog walks. As a renter, I’ve placed them on my front steps, so I don’t have to attach anything to the rental unit. They activate only when someone is leaving or arriving, which adds an extra layer of security. The solar power they receive during the day has been more than enough to keep them working well. I’ll need to see how they perform in winter with less sunlight and more evening use. Setting them up was a breeze, though I had some trouble with the remote control—my attempt to use it through the window didn’t work, but that’s not a big issue for me. The 2-pack option was slightly more expensive than buying a single unit, but I ended up giving one to my new neighbor, who arrives home after dark. They were very grateful for the gesture. Overall, these lights have been reliable and functional, and they’ve made a positive impact on both my home and my neighbor’s.

My purpose for purchasing these was to mount in various trees for added outdoor security. (I did have to do some rigging with large zip ties to mount them on libs- which took no time at all).
They say they need to be in direct sunlight to charge, but they charge under the shade of the trees! They have already withstood 80mph winds, tree limb damage and hail. They are easy to use. And the bonus remote control has made it easy for me to turn on while inside the house to investigate a noise without going outside.
The one mounted in the tree along the driveway makes it great for returning home at night. It immediately clicks on when I drive in. Lighting the area for added visibility and security. I hope they also act as a deterrent as they click on very quickly when motion is detected. Great quality and value for the price.
